Generative art workshop
I’m exploring the possibility of rerunning the workshop in winter/spring 2025 with my co-instructors. All TBD but stay tuned!
In 2023, I had the opportunity to co-design and co-instruct a mini-course during January@GSAS at Harvard with my three amazing friends and co-instructors, Drs. Jiayin Lu, Jovana Andrejevic, and Nina Andrejevic. The five-day workshop focused on introducing generative art and scientific visualization, with topics including fractals, strange attractors, Voronoi art, cellular automata, pattern formation, visualization tools, 3D printing art, and more. To help participants engage with class concepts given their different programming familiarity, we created well-documented Python notebooks for each topic. These notebooks allowed for hands-on coding, allowing participants to either experiment with the code or review the materials on their own.
- Collaborated with co-instructors on course planning
- Led the mini-course application and admin logistics
- Developed new teaching materials for Physical systems and Tools for visualization
- Participants (~40 ppl.) including graduate students and postdocs across Harvard (SEAS, HMS, etc.) and MIT
