Art & animation
My journey to the research world of computational fluid dynamics actually started in animation and interactive art. During my undergraduate studies, I minored in Interactive Media Arts and Urban Design and Architecture Studies, where I explored creative coding, computer and stop-motion animation, video production, interactive art, architectural drawing, and more. This led to an interest in physics-based simulation in graduate school. Alongside my coursework, I worked as a research intern at DisneyResearch|Studios and as a technical animation intern at Raven Software (Activision) on two Call of Duty® titles. After my graduate studies, paper marbling has become a new passion of mine. As a separate aspect of my STEM-related work, below are some of my earlier or more art-related projects in paper marbling, computer animation, and creative coding.
